Report on Ordinance No. 3 of 1909.

I have certified the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance to amend the Evidence Ordinance 1869." and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to The Governor's Instructions

Section 2 repeals section 40 of the Evidence Ordinance 1869 and substitutes a new section 40 in which the phraseology is somewhat different.

The words "His Majesty" replace the word "Governor", "at London" the words "in the Colony". The words "or a criminal matter under the Extradition Act" are added after the words "commercial suit".
